The connection is designed as an authenticated extension of Merified, not as a generic route into company data.

Questions before you connect.

MCP is a technical standard, but evaluating it should not require technical guesswork.

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol is a standard way for compatible AI clients to use approved tools and data from another product. Merified MCP makes selected HR and hiring information, and the actions your role allows, available inside that client after you sign in.

Which AI clients can connect?

Early access supports ChatGPT and Claude. Other MCP clients are added once their compatibility has been validated. Availability can depend on the client and plan you use.

Can the AI change Merified data?

Yes, within your access. It can approve or decline requests you are allowed to decide, create your own requests and time entries, and prepare job drafts. Approvals, requests and drafts are shown as a preview first and only run after you confirm them. Merified checks your permissions again before every action.

Can it see everything in our company?

No. The connection uses the signed-in user’s Merified account. Existing company membership, role and row-level permissions continue to limit what can be returned.

Can our administrators control it?

Yes. In Settings → Integrations → AI assistants, company administrators decide whether external AI assistants are allowed, who can connect and which capabilities they may use. Existing roles and permissions still apply on top of those choices.

Is MCP generally available?

It is currently offered through early access while real-client setup, supported workflows and operational limits are validated with selected teams.
