On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, BlindStairs took part in the II Congrés de Joves Empresaris i Empresàries organised by PIMEC Joves, held at IESE Business School in Barcelona. The event brought together hundreds of young entrepreneurs and business leaders from across Catalonia, highlighting the role of youth-led companies as a driver of progress and sustainable growth.
As part of the “Innovar per transformar” track, our co-founder and CEO, Marta Rodríguez-Tobalo, joined fellow founders on stage to explore how innovation can transform both companies and the wider economy.
In her session, Marta shared how BlindStairs and Merified are using ethical, bias-aware AI to help organisations widen their talent pools, standardise evaluations, and meet new regulatory expectations such as the EU AI Act, without losing the human oversight that high-stakes hiring decisions require. She highlighted our UnbiasAI approach, which anonymises early-stage applications, enriches profiles with skills-focused data, and delivers explainable recommendations that hiring teams can trust.
The congress pillars — Inspira’t, Innova, Impacta — strongly resonate with our mission to make fair, merit-based hiring the default for growing companies. It was an energising opportunity to connect with young founders, investors, and ecosystem partners who are building the next generation of Catalan and European businesses, and to show how people-centric AI can support that journey.
